Your Glyde Straite Pro is designed for smooth, salon worthy styling anywhere you go. No cords. No outlets. No limits. Please read this manual before first use and keep it handy for future reference.

Quick start Fully charge for 2 to 3 hours before first use. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on. Default temperature is 140°C. Tap to cycle through 160°C, 180°C, and 200°C. Keep the plates closed while heating for the fastest warm up.

04 · Preparation

Before you style

Wash and dry hair

Hair must be clean and fully dry. Damp or wet hair will not style properly and can cause damage.

Comb thoroughly

Remove all knots and tangles. Section hair into smaller parts for easier styling.

Skip flammable products

Avoid hairspray, styling mousse, or other flammable products before using the device.

05 · Charging

First time charging

Before your first styling session, fully charge your Glyde Straite Pro.

Plug in USB-C

Connect the USB-C cable to the device. Use any 5V USB port or DC adapter.

Lights cycle while charging

The three battery segments on the display panel light up in turn while charging is in progress.

All three steady = full

When all three battery segments stay lit, the device is fully charged. A full charge takes 2 to 3 hours.

Up to 60 minutes

A full charge delivers around 60 minutes of cordless styling at the highest temperature.

Low battery warning If the three battery segments flash at the same time during use, the battery is low. Recharge before continuing to style.

06 · Power on

Turn on and set heat

Hold power 3 seconds

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The power and temperature indicators will flash.

Choose your temperature

Default is 140°C. Tap the button to cycle through 160°C, 180°C, and 200°C.

Close plates while heating

Gently close the plates together while the device warms up. This traps heat and gets you ready to style much faster.

Wait for ready signal

Allow 1 to 2 minutes. The temperature indicator stops flashing and stays lit when the plates are ready.

Unlock the plates

Open the safety lock switch behind the plates by pushing it to the left.

Start low, build up Always begin at the lowest temperature and move up only if needed. Lower heat means less damage over time.

How to straighten your hair

Pinch a small section of hair away from the rest

Select a small section

Separate a small wisp of hair near the roots. Smaller sections give smoother, more even results than grabbing too much at once.

Close and glide down

Close the plates gently with your thumb at the roots. Hold the hair and pull the iron down smoothly from root to tip in one motion.

Release the plate at the ends. Move to the next section and repeat until all your hair is sleek and smooth.

How to create romantic curls

Clamp a small section

Hold the iron horizontally and close the plates gently on a small section of hair, starting close to the roots.

Rotate 180° to 270°

Rotate the iron toward your face. More rotation creates tighter curls, less rotation creates looser waves.

Slide down and reveal

Slide the iron smoothly down the hair while holding the rotation. Finger curl the end to soften and shape.

Pro tip For loose waves, rotate closer to 180°. For tighter curls, rotate up to 270° and move the iron slower.

10 · Finish up

After you style

Power off

Press and hold the power button for 1 second. All indicators will turn off.

20 minute auto shut off

If you forget, the device powers itself off after 20 minutes. Press the button to restart and reselect your heat setting.

Engage safety lock

Push the lock switch back to prevent accidental activation during storage.

Let it cool

Wait at least 10 minutes before storing. Plates stay hot after use.

Place in the included pouch. Keep dry and out of reach of children.

Cleaning and maintenance

Power off and cool

Always power off and let the device cool completely before cleaning.

Wipe with a damp cloth

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Wipe the plates and body gently.

Dry with soft cloth

Follow with a soft dry cloth to remove moisture before storing.

12 · Troubleshooting

Quick fixes

Device won't turn on

Battery may be flat. Charge for at least 45 minutes, then try again. Use the original USB-C cable that came with your Glyde Straite Pro for reliable charging. Check the cable is firmly connected at both ends.

Plates don't heat up or take too long

Hold the power button for the full 3 seconds until indicators flash. Keep the plates closed while heating for faster warm up. Allow 1 to 2 minutes for the plates to reach the set temperature.

Slight smoke or burnt smell on first use

This is normal. Residue from manufacturing burns off in the first few seconds and disappears quickly.

All three battery segments flashing during use

Battery is low. Recharge fully before your next session for consistent heat performance.

Device switched off on its own

This is the 20 minute automatic power-off working as intended. Press the power button to restart, then select your temperature again.

Hair not straightening properly

Ensure hair is fully dry. Take smaller sections. Try moving up one heat setting if your hair is thick or coarse.

Battery drains quickly

Higher temperatures use more power. A full charge delivers around 60 minutes at 200°C, and longer at lower settings.

Surface temperature of plates can reach 200°C. Avoid contact with skin and eyes
Not suitable for children or persons with reduced sensory or mental abilities without supervision
Stop using immediately if the device becomes abnormally hot, the shell is damaged, buttons malfunction, or the rotating shaft loosens or sticks

Frequently asked questions

Can I take Glyde Straite Pro on a plane?

Yes. Glyde Straite Pro is built in battery powered and approved for carry on luggage under most airline lithium battery guidelines. Always check your specific airline's policy before flying.

How long does one full charge last?

A full charge takes 2 to 3 hours and gives you around 60 minutes of styling at the highest temperature. Lower settings last longer.

Can I use it while charging?

We do not recommend it. Please fully charge first, then unplug before styling for best battery health and safety.

Does it work on curly or Afro hair?

Yes, though thicker or coarser hair types will get best results at 180°C to 200°C. Work in smaller sections and glide slowly.

Why is there a faint smell on first use?

This is normal. Small amounts of oil or residue from manufacturing burn off in the first few seconds. The smell disappears quickly.

Can I use hair products before styling?

Avoid flammable products like hairspray or mousse before using the device. A heat protectant spray designed for flat irons is fine once fully absorbed.

Is it suitable for men's hair?

Yes. The compact size works well for fringe, beard straightening, and short to medium length hair.

What USB adapter should I use?
